Overview
Environmental sustainability is at the heart of SSRF’s mission to build resilient and peaceful communities in South Sudan. The country’s ecosystems and livelihoods are under increasing threat from deforestation, flooding, droughts, and soil degradation — all worsened by the effects of climate change and decades of conflict.
Through the Environment & Climate Action Program, SSRF empowers communities to adopt climate-smart practices, protect natural resources, and take part in reforestation and restoration efforts that secure a greener future for generations to come.
